Within the framework of the 1st International Biennial of Education in Architecture for Children and Young People, a space is opened to present and publish research works related to the themes of the event.

 

Three to nine papers selected papers are presented at the biennial, from Thursday 10 May to Saturday 12 May, 2018. These papers are also published in the Biennial book and, where appropriate, are exhibited in panels during the event.

 

In addition, thirty selected proposals are to be published on the Ludantia webpage. [The scientific committee may modify this number in view of the number of proposals received].

 

The authors of the selected papers (at least one if they are several) must register for the Biennial so that they can be published.

 

The papers can tackle three thematic lines:

 

1. Educational experiences related to public space. Methods, objectives, description and results.

 

2. Children's participation in the city and public buildings. It seeks to collect participatory processes that incorporate children: methods, development, timing and guidelines. Schools can be considered as part of these proposals.

 

3. Children’s play in urban environments. The objective is to deepen on children’s opportunities for play and autonomy in cities: reflections, challenges and proposals. Outstanding role are actions related to mobility.

Calendar

 

31 January, 2018: deadline for receipt of communications proposals (maximum 2,100 characters and 3 images 72 dpi).

21 February, 2018: selection of proposals by the Committee of experts.

​

26 February, 2018: notification to the authors of the selected communications.

​

6 April, 2018: deadline for delivery of final texts of accepted communications (max 7 pages, 14,700 characters including spaces, max 10 images 300 dpi).

10-12 May, 2018: face-to-face seminars at the Biennial.
